Sergio Fahrer
founder-designer
Sergio, a graduate of FAU-USP in 1997, is passionate about the intersection of craftsmanship and technology. His vision has always been to create furniture that transcends time, pieces that become part of the history of those who own them. With over 25 years of experience, he has led internationally awarded projects and developed the unique language of Brazilian minimalism that defines Fahrer.
He believes that good design is invisible – it works silently and efficiently, without screaming for attention. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with master craftsmen from various regions of Brazil, absorbing traditional techniques and reinterpreting them through a contemporary language. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Brazil, Europe, and the United States.
Sergio's creative process is deeply influenced by Brazilian modernist architecture, especially the work of Oscar Niemeyer and Lina Bo Bardi. He sees each piece of furniture as a small piece of architecture, an object that needs to dialogue with the space it inhabits. His philosophy: "Design is not about trends, it's about creating honest objects that withstand the test of time."

Jack Fahrer
designer
A graduate of FAU-USP (Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo), Jack joined the studio in 2003. With a technical and meticulous approach, he is responsible for transforming concepts into constructive reality. A specialist in materials engineering and manufacturing processes, Jack ensures that each Fahrer piece is not only beautiful but also structurally perfect.
His deep knowledge of Brazilian woods and traditional joinery techniques is fundamental to the excellence that characterizes the brand. Jack spent years studying steam bending processes, screwless structural joints, and finishes that preserve the natural characteristics of the wood. He leads the research and development of new materials and production techniques in the atelier.
Obsessed with millimeter-precise details, Jack believes that technical perfection is the basis for any great design. His training included internships in traditional joinery workshops in Portugal and workshops with Japanese masters specializing in woodworking. He says: "Technique doesn't limit creativity – it's what allows bold ideas to become real and durable objects."

Heloisa Samaia
designer
Heloisa, an architect by training, joined Fahrer in 2018, bringing a unique spatial perspective to the studio. Her sensitivity to textures, refined details, and the relationship between object and environment has elevated the brand's work to new heights. She led the development of the Horizonte collection, our most daring and experimental line.
Heloisa believes that design is not just about creating objects, but about creating experiences that transform spaces and lives. Her approach integrates concepts of interior design, art curation, and environmental psychology. Before joining Fahrer, she worked in renowned architecture firms and developed sophisticated residential projects that always highlighted furniture as the protagonist of the spaces.
Her contribution goes beyond product design: Heloisa structured Fahrer's artist residency program, which invites emerging designers to collaborate with the brand. She also coordinates partnerships with galleries and museums, consolidating Fahrer's presence in the contemporary art and design circuit. Her motto: "Furniture doesn't decorate spaces – it defines them."
